Hunting

With thousands of acres of public hunting lands in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and the Northen Highland-American Legion State Forest, this area offers an abundance of opportunities to find a variety of game species, including ruffed grouse, duck, geese, snowshoe hare, white-tailed deer and wild turkey. Trappers find beaver, muskrat, otter, raccoon, fisher and mink, as well.
